It is difficult to realize what your grandparent’s life was like, some people even speak of a generation gap. When Quinne is on a birthday visit to her grandparents, she realizes that she knows little about her grandparents' past. Quinne starts with the question “Do you remember a lot of the past grandpa?” Grandpa looks surprised, but the surprise quickly turns into a glow. He starts with his childhood and tells where he was born, who his family is and where he grew up. Quinne listens with great interest to Grandpa's stories. Throughout the story of grandpa and grandma ‘in the present', images of Quinne in the past are shown. These images are taken for granted in our society. But are these images really so self-evident in contrast to the lives of grandparents? The aim of the film is to make the viewer think, by emphasizing the difference between the younger and older generation, which should not always be seen as a generation gap. Many privileges are taken for granted in today's society, but were they just as common for our grandparents 60 years ago?
