SUGAR is a 20-minute drama/coming-of-age film that tells the story of Nora, a woman fighting to preserve her autonomy and independence both as an individual and as a sex worker, despite societal pressures and judgments. Through this powerful narrative, SUGAR seeks to challenge the stigmatized portrayal of sex workers in the media and offer a more authentic, nuanced perspective on their lives. The film explores themes of empowerment, sexuality, and gender independence, aiming to spark conversations around feminism, self-determination, and societal perceptions of marginalized groups.
